For decades the Divide County Fair has been bringing entertainment and education to crowds from across the county. Held every June at the Divide County Fairgrounds in Crosby, the fair features the traditional 4-H and FFA livestock and farm-related exhibits, as well as open exhibits for children and adults. And who could forget the annual rhubarb baking contest in which bakers compete with their pies, cakes and breads.
The days of a carnival have been replaced with more modern and affordable inflatable attractions, and there’s also the grand “Fair” food, including the legendary home-baked pies sold by members of the Divide County High School Music Boosters.
In recent years, the volunteer Divide County Fair Board has put a premium on entertainment, bringing a bigger variety of acts to the free entertainment stage.
